Randy Brandt is a former history teacher with a passion for educating others about the
sacrifices in World War II that were made for our freedom. As the founder of Band of Tours, he has led
multiple trips throughout Normandy and is thus familiar with the setting of Airborne 200:
Utah Beach.
Randy has contributed to more than 80 entries at the renowned Traces Of War website, but his primary qualification as a game
creator is that throughout high school in the 1970s, he and his friend Jonathan Klassen were
undefeated in the war games Blitzkrieg and France 1940. Those familiar with Blitzkrieg and
other Avalon Hill games will notice some hat tips in Airborne 200: Utah Beach.
Randy's hobbies include playing hockey, playing with his granddaughters, reading (lots of World War II books, thrillers, and the Bible) and creating montages of World War II sites that still exist:
